We were the design, research and replication team for over 15 years with The Sutlers Stores. As we no longer sell accoutrements we have reverted to our original name, continuing to manufacture replica civilian wear for men which is suitable for these periods. We are very proud of our reputation for authenticity, quality and durability.

Although our authentic range of replica Frockcoats, Waistcoats (Vests), Trousers, Breeches (Fall Front) and Shirts is extremely comprehensive, we are also able to recreate almost any mens costume or uniform designs that were available during these times. Customers who have a specific design in mind are invited to send them to us so that we can quote you for making them.

We do not buy in, we manufacture, at our workshop here in Bournemouth an exceptional range of authentic military uniforms for the periods 1700 – 1910, covering the Napoleonic, American Civil, Plains Indian, Western, Zulu, Boer War and World War 1 periods.

We regularly hear from clients that clothing they bought from us over 10 years ago is still in use today! And of course our styles never go out of fashion! Our products are in use by Re-enactors and Historical Interpreters and on display in Museums all over the world. We have also supplied Replica Military Uniforms and 19th Century Menswear to many top movies and plays.

Any tailored item that was previously available on the Sutlers Stores website can now be ordered from us through this website or by mail order as before. If any customer has a design of 'Steam Punk' clothing or anything else that they want making then please send us the design and we will quote you for making it.

Please note all clothing is made to your personal order requirements. Unless an item is clearly marked as being a stock item it will be made for you. We are always busy but at certain times of the year we do get even busier! You should always allow at least 12 weeks for delivery unless we specifically quote you less.

With regard to various rumours on the web, we do NOT import clothing or anything else from India, Pakistan or anywhere else, the company in India that say they supply us are not strictly speaking lying, because they once (a very long time ago) did send us some unsolicted clothing items which we promptly threw in the bin because they were awful. If you want to see our items being made you can make an appointment by email and come and visit our workshop, we are open Monday to Friday.
