Description
The 1881 regulations were made in an effort to ‘standardise’ the uniforms for Infantry regiments, broadly speaking ‘Royal Regiments’ were to have collar and cuffs of Garter Blue while the others were to use ‘Buff’ (off -white).
Our replica features a low cut rounded collar, 7 General Service buttons to the front, 2 on the rear seams. White piping to the front edge of the jacket and to the lower part of the rear skirts following the line of the rear seams, jampot cuffs are fitted as per originals.
If you require NCO Chevrons and/or insignia fitting please email us for further information.
Please note any British Infantry pattern tunic or frock can be made for you, simply tell us which one you would like.
